Locality & History
The Glebe Bed & Breakfast guest house is over 300 years old with a 40 year old extension and has recently been completely renovated with new electric wiring, central heating, plumbing, plastering etc. It is believed to have been a girls school before it became church property.

Opposite the guest house accommodation is the Old Parish Church of Duthil, which is now home to the Clan Grant Centre. The first recorded church at Duthil was built about 1400. The present church was built in 1826. The first of the two Grant of Grant Mausoleums beside the Church was built in 1837. The first chief of Grant to be interred at Duthil was James Grant, third of Freuchy whose last will and testament dated 1553, ordered that he be buried in the Parish Church of Duthil. He died and was interred there in 1585. Old Duthil Church closed for services in 1967 and from 4th March 1969 Duthil Church was deemed no longer in use. It was sold in 1974. A company of the Canadian Forestry Corps were stationed in Duthil during the 1939-45 war and were employed in tree felling.

Carrbridge is a village with local character, excellent access to the surrounding countryside, its wildlife and many outdoor sporting activities. It is famous for it 1717 Packhorse Bridge which crosses the River Dulnain.

Near the guest house is a choice of bars, eating places and shops. Tourist attractions include the very popular Landmark Forest Heritage and Adventure Park. There are many woodland walks around the village and along old droving roads and access into the Mondadhliath Mountains which are part of the Southern Grampians. Sporting facilities include a nine-hole golf course, outdoor curling rink, bowling green and pony trekking centre. Access to the Cairngorm and Lecht ski centres. Carrbridge is on the national Cycle Route 7 (Glasgow to Inverness) including off road route to Slochd via Sluggan.

From the North
From Inverness: A9 south to Carrbridge (28 miles) at junction in Carrbridge take the left road A938 to Grantown-on-Spey, travel 2 miles to Duthil. The Glebe Bed & Breakfast is the 7th house on the left, just after the Pines Country House.
From the South
From Perth follow signs for A9 to Inverness then take the Carrbridge exit, through the village, turn right at the Carrbridge Hotel, onto the A938 Grantown-on-Spey road, travel 2 miles to Duthil. The Glebe Bed & Breakfast is the 7th house on the left, just after the Pines Country House.
From the East
From Aberdeen there are two routes: -
Huntly to Dufftown then onto Aberlour A95 to Grantown-on-Spey, turn of at Dulnain Bridge for Carrbridge A938, travel 5 miles to Duthil The Glebe Bed & Breakfast is the second on the right.

Or -- Banchory - Ballater then A939 Corgarff to Tomintoul, Grantown-on-Spey A95 turn off Dulnain Bridge follow as above.
